Yes, most housekeepers will make the bed. At Fussy Cleaning, our housekeepers are highly trained and experienced professionals who will make your bed as part of the housekeeping service, when you call to book your appointment, just be sure to mention it!

  1. Start with Fresh Linens: Begin with clean sheets, pillowcases, and any other bedding components. This provides a fresh and comfortable foundation for your bed.
  2. Mattress Protector: If you use one, place a mattress protector or pad over the mattress to protect it from spills and stains.
  3. Fitted Sheet: Spread the fitted sheet over the mattress, ensuring that it fits snugly and is properly aligned.
  4. Blanket or Duvet: Place a blanket or duvet on top of the flat sheet. Ensure that it is centered and covers the bed evenly.
  5. Pillowcases: Put pillowcases on your pillows and fluff the pillows to achieve a full and comfortable look.
  6. Pillows: Arrange your pillows against the headboard or wall, starting with the largest pillows at the back and layering smaller ones in front.
  7. Decorative Pillows (Optional): If you use decorative pillows or shams, arrange them in front of your sleeping pillows.
  8. Bedspread or Comforter: If you use a bedspread or comforter, drape it over the duvet or blanket. Ensure that it’s evenly distributed and hangs down evenly on all sides.
  9. Tuck and Smooth: Tuck the bottom of the flat sheet, blanket, and bedspread/comforter under the mattress at the foot of the bed. Smooth out any wrinkles or creases.
  10. Final Touches: Adjust the pillows and decorative elements to achieve a balanced and visually pleasing arrangement. Fluff and shape pillows for a neat and inviting appearance.
  11. Check for Symmetry: Step back and check for symmetry and balance in the overall look of the bed. Make any necessary adjustments to achieve a polished appearance.
